A man stuck in mountain of Bottled Water killing the enviroment
Sadly this should be an unusual sight but it is not and can be seen in many parts of the world.

We all know that bottled water has become increasingly popular in Australia in last decade or so.

Less well know is that plastic bottles generate an enormous amount of waste that is ending up in local dump (landfill) or local environment.

If you make use of a good water filter and recycle water bottles you can help conserve vital resources and protect the environment. A huge benefit is the bonus effect of saving money at the same time. For about the cost of 36 store bought bottles of water ($110 3-Stage Undersink filter) you can buy a good water filter. On the other hand local tap water may cost just a few cents per litre.

Many bottles are made of out of PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) plastic bottles which are made from petroleum (or crude oil).

“Did you know it can take up to 3 Liters of water to produce 1 Liter of bottled water?” – see The Water Project

The process of transportation of bottled water around the place requires huge amount of energy expenditure basically wasted when compared the energy costs involved in filter water close to where it will be used.

Below is a great video about how great “Tap water” versus “Manufactured Bottle water”.

If you dont have 8 minutes it basically a well made video that rubbishes the idea of buying bottled water and points out that is it basically no better than regular tap water except it is x2000 more expensive. Which is actually strange when you think about it make a great comparison between $5 sandwiches vs $10,000 if it was x2000 the cost like the difference between tap and bottled water is.

So think how great your own filtered tap water would taste not to mention the cost. If you need a filter or upgrade then visit our shop
